In fourth grade I won my class talent competition reciting my first public work, School is Cool. I wrote it by hand on very school-bus-yellow construction paper and folded it into an origami triangle. Despite what I am certain was a definite lack of coolness, a poet was born.
Today I write about motherhood, trauma, healing and relationships.
My intention is to make you feel something in your body. Whether it be a familiar or foreign sensation, a rawness, vulnerability or soul settling- I want you to know that we're in this together. It's safe.
Keep Going.
