A Man? I’d Say No. ii

A man makes mistakes.

He lets tears fill his eyes.

A man bends his head when a child dies.

You…

You are not a man of this kind.

You're a human. And a killer.

Ingrained in my mind.

My kids will be better.

They know your face.

They live life with joy and a sense of place.

Our home is a privilege you may not have known.

From infants to toddlers to humans full grown.

My kids will be kind and share stories of grace.

But a man you are not.

Freedom will not be a taste

You feel in your body or should expect in your soul.

You killed and maimed

Sit still now, pay the toll.

You stole

Light.

You stole fight.

You stole peace in the night.

So just go to bed.

Alone.

And sleep tight.
